home network nonconnection

I have a home net work with wireless router as access point for internet as well as intranet for a laptop computer. Suddenly the intranet for the laptop stopped working. The desktop can see the laptop and access files but the laptop cannot get to the desktop. The printer sharing works fine from the laptop to the desktop.

Any suggestions?
