Hi, I am new to the group and got a new win 7 laptop several months ago. my free Norton trial is running out and I am looking for a free set of security tools to replace it. Thanks Ed

Hi, Security Essentials 1.0.1611 Vista and YES it will work with Windows 7
read the technical. I use this with my Vista and love it and it's Free

Thanks much. What about firewall protection ? Is the windows 7 firewall any good ?

HI, Glad you like Microsoft security Essentials. I use two firewalls, one that came with vista
and the other is Threatfire, they say don't use two firewalls, I been running two for year's and
it works fine for me. On Threatfire you want the one that's FREE.
