Losing internet connectivty only on my desktop

Hey all,

I keep losing internet connectivity on my desktop computer(LAN). It happens sporadically. Sometimes it won't happen for a whole day. Other times it will happen several times a day. The only way to fix it is to restart the computer. Restarting the router doesn't matter and also my laptop keeps its connection over the wireless even tho the desktop loses connectivity.

Do I need a new netcard? Right now Im using the net connection on my main motherboard.

Getting a new network card would be my first task at troubleshooting this problem without asking anyone about it first. They are so cheap the decision is a no-brainer. And if it doesn't solve the problem you can then start troubleshooting elsewhere and post again with your updated information.
