headphone jack Problem..?!

I have an asus g51vx gaming laptop. Recently my speakers have not been working and now my headphone jack only works when I plug my headphones in half way... I have checked all my software and updated everything but nothing seems to work. I even reinstalled windows 7 and that didn't do anything either. I'm assuming it's a hardware problem which really sucks because it's just out of warranty. Anybody have ideas or tutorials on how to fix this problem?
