Office 2007 incorporates 'Product Ativation', and a single-user licence allows you to install it on only one PC at any one time ( unless you have purchased a 3 or 5-user licence or a corporate VLK (Volume Licence Key). You've already activated it once, and Microsoft maintains a database of used keys, so the second installation is probably running in 'trial' mode until you purchase a new key from them. Without a new key it will be severely 'crippled' after 25 uses, after which it will be useable for viewing existing documents only.
