I was having trouble a few months ago with malware and trojans, but it seemed to get fixed and everything was about back to normal.

This last week or so, I've been getting the same symptoms as before: specifically redirects and viruses I can't seem to get rid of. But my netbook also won't go into standby when I close it, and it's been running slower and slower every time I use it. Also, if I go to the shut down and click Standby or Hibernate, nothing happens.

The CPU usage % is always running quite high, and as soon as it loads when I turn it on, I get immediate error messages about CAPI Module and Generic.exe having to shut down. There seem to be a lot of processes running, more than what I thought used to run, but I don't know which are new.

I've run the tdsskiller, as suggested in the "How to fix Google redirects" post, but it didn't find anything. I've also been getting a bunch of spam in my gmail account (which has never happened before). Could this be something more than just search redirects??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
