I am confused as how to use this forum. For one I read that multiple threads will be deleted, but I can't reply to someone elses thread.
Anyway, I followed the directions on another thread (then realized I wasn't supposed to do that...but oh well) :)

I got the this part: (your reply to another user)

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and paste them into your reply.

These two notepads are open (on another computer), and I need to know what to do now.....only I can't copy and past the contents here in my reply, because it's on another compter.

Hope this makes sense. :)

I assume the other computer is having problems getting on the internet? Perhaps after running MBAM or some other antivirus program?

Try:

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, then uncheck all boxes and OK. Close IE and restart IE.

In FireFox, Tools, Options, Advanced, Settings, check No Proxy then OK. Close Firefox and restart Firefox.

Any better? If so follow the guidelines in the top post of the Malware Removal forum and post your logs. If not let me know and we will try a few other things.

Right click on the IE icon on your desktop and select Properties. Then Connections, LAN Settings, and uncheck everything then OK. Now go to the Advanced Tab and hit the RESET button near the bottom. OK. Once it resets right click on the IE icon and select Start without Add-ons.

Any better?

NO? Start, Run, sfc /scannow , OK and it will scan your system files for problems. It may ask for your CD. If you don't have it then just press Skip each time it stops.

Start, Run, cmd, OK to open a Command Window. Type (with an Enter after each line)

cd \

(CD SPACE \)

dir /a /s iexplore.exe

(DIR SPACE /A SPACE /S IEXPLORE.EXE This will take a while. When it finishes does it find more than one instance of the file? What folder is the file in? )
