Windows Vista Says "An unauthorized change was made to windows" and need to validate. When I validate on my laptop that it is genuine windows it comes up with problems. The only change I have made is adding Avast as my virus protection. I can not get to my desktop or program file to uninstall to see if this is the problem. Can anyone help me. THANKS

Thank you! I finally got it to come up in safe mode and was able to go in and delete Avast Pro out, that was the problem. However, the free Avast home edition is working fine for me. THANKS again and I will bookmark the links you gave above.
