- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
- security programs in use (antivirus, firewall)
Download, and install SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
Post your computer temperatures:

Provide processor info (hold Windows logo key, and hit Pause/Break key to find out).

I use microsoft security essentials with comodo fire wall and I runmalwarebytes every now and then.

Edit: this is what i mean about skype(further text in screeny): http://imgur.com/xqaGD.png and I know thats not unresponsive but the other programs do go unresponsive, they have the whole (Program not responding) and all that. I'm not a complete noob when it comes to computers but I am at a complete loss as to what the problem may be, It's solved after a restart, but it will come back without fail.
and then: http://imgur.com/fwSzf.png after pausing it and trying to play again

Are you saying, that using Skype triggers freezing issue, or it can be any other program triggering same issue?

Let's make it clear...
Are you saying, that using Skype triggers freezing issue, or it can be any other program triggering same issue?
No the problem isn't limited to skype, it has happend when I haven't used skype, but I think I know what the problem is, after foobar closed i checked the fan speed and it showed this http://imgur.com/vMzQ1.png I have a feeling that the little flame thing Isn't meant to be there?

Try this...
Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).
Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.
Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.
Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.
NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.
Same problem?

It looks like that 52C is your video card. In that case, 52C is nothing to worry about.

Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).
Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.

I can try that, but the thing is the programs don't start becoming unresponsive right away. At first everything will run fine, but at the same time I took that screen shot of foobar, firefox did the same thing; this is after using the computer for a while. Do you still want me to try it?

How is your security protection?

I am going to reboot now, and I'm paranoid asYeah, go ahead. We won't break anything.
How is your security protection?

Edit: All right... I've rebooted now, with those services disabled etc. Do you have any ideas as to what the problem may be?
