have a toshiba portege 3010ct and when i power up i get thr following IDE#0 error. then it prompts me to insert system disc in drive. Have no clue about this. I can get to system set up info,but still lost.

irishendur came into chat and we determined the hard drive wasn't functioning. Since this was a 12 year old laptop with 32MB of ram irishendur decided to throw it out.
