I had Nero Ultra Edition 6.6.1.4 with Nero Vision Express and something else which I forgot lol.

I wish I did not have to upgrade because these versions worked just fine for me! I do a lot of video editing.

Which version of Nero do you guys suggest? Keep in mind I do need Nero Vision Express as well because of all the video editing I do.

Also is there anyway to get a driver or something to keep my Nero 6? You guys are great at this stuff.

I think you are missing the point. Nothing before Nero 9 is compatible with Windows 7.
Unless maybe you can run Nero 7 or 8 in XP compatibility mode on Win 7.

Yeah I knew that lol. but someone said they ran 8 on Nero 8 on Windows 7. Don't know how they did that lol.

There are lots and lots of other programs online that do the same job as Nero, some of which may be free. Nero isn't the be-all-and-end-all of burning software.
As previously stated, Nero 9 is the only version that works under Windows 7. There is no two ways about it I'm afraid. Personally I think Nero has blown itself out of all proportion and now can be classed as bloatware.

Well I don't really use it for burning, I use it for making my own DVDs. For example, I make music videos and I put them all together and I make menus for it. Is there another program I can use that does that?

maybe this will work for you...run nero in virtualbox...

It obtains access to certain hardware resources and features, being more like a guest using the host's resources, thus executing applications in a safe environment; or, by means of certain modules, even running programs made for other systems....look here and get it here...there is a manual on how to install and run it there too..

I'm running Nero 8 (8.2.8.0) without problems on both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows 7...without running it in compatibility mode.

The Nero website does state that Nero 8 is not compatible with Windows 7, but I've found that it runs fine on most machines I've installed it on. I haven't used Nero 9, so have no comment either way on how it compares to Nero 7 or 8.

I just had a friend message me and let me know he installed Nero 7 on his brand new Win 7 laptop and it's running fine. Maybe it's not as proprietary as it is being explained on Nero's site?

I was forced to upgrade from nero 6.6 to Nero 7 when I installed a samsung dual layer dvd burner on my personal system in order to burn to dual layer media...
short version is I would prefer the older version of nero...
Nero 7 tries to take over...I can only imagine what Nero 9 does...
