40vern-

What brand computer are you using? What are your processor and RAM specs?

I would suggest CCleaner. It has a bunch of tools that can help clean out your PC, and it has an option to disable startup entries. You should look for ones with programs that you don't absolutely need (instant messenger programs, extra background software, processes that hog massive amounts of memory, etc...)

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

i have windows 7.
the computer brand is the asus srs
but the ram speed i am not sure of. i don't do much on the well i do allot but as for as like programs i don't buy the ones with the biggest processor and stuff. i like to keep them clean without all the junk that slows them down if this makes sense

Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System and post in your next reply the specifications of your process and your installed RAM.

Can I chime in here folks?
I'm not sure what needing the information that is being requested has to do with the startups. If you want to limit the startups there is a couple of ways to do this.
The most effective way is to go through Autoruns and unclick the things you don't want. I assisted you with this before but i will include the instructions again and we can take a fresh look at your system now 4Overn

Download Autoruns from the link in my signature below:
1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
2: Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".
3: Click on the "Everything" tab
4: Remove any entries that mention "File Not Found" by right-clicking the entry and select Delete.
5: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.
6: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop.
7: Attach to your next reply.

I was seeing how hard his RAM and processor were being pushed, but by all means take it from here. :)

Sorry if my advice or responses were unrelated or inappropriate.

what can i do about my ram and processor to keep it from working so much? things like this are things that i want to cut back on. all i do is some simple email of my baby photos and web browsing.

so if this is all that i am doing my computer should run like it is on vacation.

Have you questioned the validity of this warning?
I think it may be from some form of malware.
How about checking out the malware forums before you start removing stuff from your computer.

Autoruns gives a more detailed look at things and looks deeper then just startup items. We usually only look at the autoruns and don't worry about the rest of the report.
When do you mean it wouldn't copy?
If you followed the instructions it should have saved a txt file for you to attach.
