Hello fellow geeks,

I am trying to install a OS on my Paradigit 8575 (Which is a re-branded Mitac 8575) with a broken CD drive. When i try to PXE boot i get to see that the MAC address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 and that is causing the dhcp server to not give out an IP adress.

To confirm that the physical MAC really is 00:00:00:00:00:00 i booted up a Linux LiveCD and did a `ifconfig eth0 | grep HW` which resulted in this:
HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00.

The laptop is running a Insyde Software MobilePRO bios version 4.00.01 and System bios V1.12a. The NIC is a SIS900.

Does anyone here know how i can 'flash' a MAC address into the NIC so a IP can get assigned?

Thanks in advance
