I don't know if I have this in the right forum. I bought a Dell laptop w/Vista and IE8 in June. Never had any trouble with it, but in the last two weeks, I've had a pop-up box on two different sites that says, "Failed to load, Inventory: Undefined." I can't remember what website I was on the first time it happened, but the second time was on billboard.com. I was going through pages of the music charts. When it happened, instead of x'ing it out, I hit control/alt/del, and went to the Task Manager where I deleted it from there, and then got "IE not responding, etc." I went to billboard.com again to see if it would happen again. After perusing several pages, it happened again. I did some research and the only thing I can find is that it happens often on car/motorcycle web pages and is thought to be due to ads. I don't visit car sites, so I'm perplexed. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and if it is harmless? Should I just x it out when I see it? Any assistance would be appreciated.
