I pretty sure I've had problems with virus' and malware. I have no way to check because everytime I try to run an antivirus/antispyware program it stop about 5 seconds in. The program will stop and I cannot open the program again. Usually a message pops up saying I don't have permission (though I am the administrator on this PC).

Now I can't open any program. I've set up many shortcuts on my desktop. After opening the shortcut it says either can't find file or the "open with..." screen pops up. This even happens when I try to open task manager from right clicking bar at the bottom of the screen (not sure what its called). And even trying to "safely remove hardware" opens up the "Open with" screen, I don't even know what to do with that.

Oh and when I open task manger from ctrl+alt+delete, I only have these processes running:
csrss.exe
winlogon.exe
CurseClient.exe (this is for world of warcraft)
firefox.exe (currently using ofcourse)
eplorer.exe
taskmgr.exe (of course it there when I'm looking at it :))

I know I should have roughly 20-30 programs running so I'm worried about that. Any help?

Hi and Welcome to Geeks to Go! :)

If you belive your system has been infected with malware, I suggest posting a new thread in the Virus, Spyware and Trojan Removal Forums. Also, be sure to check out the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide. This will help you disinfect the majority of malicious software from your system.

Ok sorry, I guess I was confused at where I should post this, since I have multiple issues. I'll just copy paste all this. Thanks.
