I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 Model #PP29L with Vista Home Premium package.

Over the last couple of weeks my computer would shut down on its own, which was unusual. Under Control Panel I checked all areas relating to Power supply. Nothing was marked to shut down.

Last night I came home to find the following message on my computer. The screen color was blue with white letters.

Stop: C000021a (fatal system error)
The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc0000001, 0x001005f4).

I tried to close with a Ctrl/Alt/Delete, it would not shut down. I tried turning power off from start button, it would not shut down. I unpluged power source from wall and not until this morning did it shut down, I figure there was no battery life left and that it why it shut down.

Do you know what is wrong? thanks so much.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
