I have 2 desktop pcs, both running XP Pro SP2, both have HDDs partitioned into multiple partitions. Have DSL modem from Verizon hooked to a WRT54G router from Linksys.
Modem is wired to router, router is WIRED to both pcs.
Both pcs can connect to internet fine!
Have previously set up folder/partition sharing on both pcs and all worked fine!
All of a sudden I can not access pc1 (rln-1),(Dell 8100 PC with 256MB RAM), folders/partitions from pc2 (ACER-2005 PC with 512MB RAM), but I can access pc2 folders/partitions from pc1.
I get the attached error message when trying to access pc1 from pc2.
pc1 has a password needed when first logging on. I have tried to get rid of it but the pc1 at logon, still comes up and asks me for a password! Don't know why this happens?? pc2 skips logon screen and just starts Windows!
I am at a loss for how to get file/partition sharing back to working and wud greatly appreciate any and all help!!
Since pc2 has twice the RAM as pc1 I do not see how not having enough storage on pc2 is a problem. And if it were, wouldn't it still be a problem in trying to access pc2 from pc1 - which I can do without a problem?!
