I am in LAN and want to access a computer which is connected to a modem via remote desktop. I have a private ip address and the person i want to connect have a public ip address. Is it possible to access it? If yes, then how?

My problem is still a problem. Is it possible to connect a computer in a LAN to a computer connected to modem or in another LAN via remote desktop.
