Hi. I am looking for a symbol on the net. Not sure whether it is Ascii or not.
The description of what it looks like is...

An ASCII character (I think) which is a rectangle higher veritically, with an O cut out of the centre.

I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like.

Help will be much appreciated!

Thank you

Hello kattybunny...

Look in your character map in one of the Wingding sections. Seems like I've seen that symbol in there. I'm on an iPad at the moment, so I can't check.

To open the character map in Windows 7, click the Start orb and type character in the Search field. Click on "Character Map" at the top of the menu. From there the characters can be dragged and dropped to your document...or you can assign the character/symbol hot keys to insert them.

FWIW, ASCII character "08", a Backspace, looks like "Posted Image". In Notepad, type in any character (such as a "1"), then while holding down the [Alt] key, type 08 on the numeric keypad and then release the [Alt] key. As soon as you release the [Alt] key, you should see the cursor move back to the left one and delete the original character (the "1"). In other words a 'backspace'.
