I'm thinking of getting windows 7 for my laptop, would it make my computer faster? My laptop is currently using the Vista OS.

toshiba 2.13ghz core duo, 4gb ram
would upgrading to w7 make my laptop lose any files?

Windows 7 can be faster and I love it sometimes..But, it has a bug with IE8 or some other software..It makes me bored especially for my using Online Bank software here.

Try tweaking your current OS before you run out and purchase Windows 7.

Yes, remove vista from your computer because it can slow laptop performance and windows 7 is best choice for increase performance.

I hav ewindows 7 loaded on my pc, media pc, and laptop, so far I have not had any issues, as previously stated IE still has some bugs, but hopefully a service pack will sort those out.

I am Running windows 7 Right now. i Would recommend windows 7 to any first time PC user. as windows 7 does not take as much Space on the hard drive as vista :) x
