I was attacked by spyware yesterday. After running my Norton security scan it found three high risk problems which it took care of. However, after restarting my computer I still have two problems. Under my user name I cannot connect to Internet Explorer. I get the following error message; " www.yahoo.com" is not set up to establish a connection on port "world wide web service(HTTP)" with this computer". The other user on this computer, however, can connect with Internet Explorer. What do i haave to do to restore the use of Internet Explorer?

The second problem is that when I go to iTunes I immediately get the following message; "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection timed out(although I get this immediately so no time has elapsed) Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again. My network connection is active, but I am clueless as to what network seetings they are talking about, so I don't know what to check.

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
