Hey guys,

I did a cleanup with my computer following the instructions. I used ERUNT 3 days ago, but it couldn't back up my files. Thus, I reinstalled ERUNT and it successfully backup my files. On the next day, it pop up this window. I thought it was nothing so I left it for two days, but now I think it's a problem. Here's what the window said:

So how do I fixed it?

Good morning
Welcome back to Geekstogo. I'll be helping you with this problem.

  • Please read all of my response through at least once before attempting to follow the procedures described. I would recommend printing them out, if you can, as you can check off each step as you complete it. If there's anything you don't understand or isn't totally clear, please come back to me for clarification.

  • Please do not attach any log files to your replies unless I specifically ask you. Instead please copy and paste so as to include the log in your reply. You can do this in separate posts if it's easier for you

What Operating System are you using, which version of WIndows?

When you run ERUNT under Vista, you need to right click it and select 'run as administrator' otherwise you will get that error

Just to confirm: Did it come up with the UAC box asking if you wanted to "Allow this program to make changes.... etc" ? And you answered yes?

I'm sorry but what is a UAC box?

What I did was clicking the ERUNT and then I checked the first two check boxes are ticked by default (System registry and Current user registry).

Then, I pressed OK and clicked YES to create a new folder.

When I type this, I was running ERUNT as a administrator already

and what do you mean "from the drop down"?

You right-click on the ERUNT program and a menu opens up. One of the options is "Run as administrator"
