I am using Windows 7 along with Comodo Firewall and Avast Antivirus. I usually get about 4-8 notifications about Updatetask.exe running in sandbox mode on Comodo Firewall. I did some research and found that this file should be located in C:/Program Files/Ask.com, but that folder doesn't exist on my hard drive (isn't hidden either). I don't remember ever installing the Ask.com toolbar.

I could easily tell Comodo to quit running Updatetask.exe in sandbox mode and avoid these notifications, but I'd rather figure out what the heck is going on first. I've thoroughly searched my hard drive for a file named Updatetask.exe and "ask.com" with no luck. This has been happening ever since I installed Comodo Firewall, but I love the program otherwise and don't want to get rid of it. I could also just disable the sandbox feature, but that isn't ideal.

So what's going on? I have checked my processes running list whenever I get the notification and I never see it running. I've run scans with Super Anti Spyware, Malwarebytes, Trend Housecall, Avast Antivirus, and a few others. So you guys are my last resort, I'll give any further details needed. Thanks for your time.

Hmm, not sure why that didn't show during my search prior to posting. Thanks for the link! I still haven't been able to fix it after reading that thread, but it's good to know that this is a known bug and probably being worked on.
