I just bought this laptop yesterday..I have had it less then 24 hours and im already having problems..My desktop icons for Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Real player all look like Windows Media Center icons now..when i click on say Firefox or even Internet Explorer in my tray or desktop it opens Windows Media Center only..no matter what I do I cant seem to fix this... If I log or sign out of my desktop account and go into the guest account it still looks and functions normal..What did I do and how do I undo it?? Please help..none of my applications work.. just windows media center opens

Hello Hodges1340...

From within your user account, can you open Registry Editor by doing one of the following?:

Click the Start orb, type regedit in the Search field, and clicking on the regedit link that appears at the top of the search results.

Or

Right click on the Task Bar and choose "Start Task Manager". In Task Manager, under the "Applications" tab, click on the "New Task" button, type regedit in the text input field, and click Ok.

Did you look in C:\Documents and Settings\old user name to see if your files are there?
