Hey guys, New to the Forums

Just need to find out some info about windows 7, If anyone can help

I have created a windows 7 image and wish restore the image from cd/dvd with acronis but automatically.
So for example so my mother can just place in her computer and not have to click her way through each step.

??? would I need some type of batch file?? I'm not to sure as this is the first attempt at making a auto boot able image.

You might find it easier to use the disk-imaging utility that's built in all editions of Windows 7 - it's in Control Panel >> Backup & Restore. From here you can also make a bootable 'System Repair Disc' with which you can restore a system from the backup image that Windows 7 makes.

Additionaly, it would be a much easier restore process if you create the disk image on an external USB drive rather than a handful of CD/DVD discs. When you want to restore, connect the external drive to the PC, boot from the repair disc and Windows will automatically search for the image that's on it.
