SharePoint: Remove time from "Modified By" field

Hi,

I have a links list in which I have a list of links to various documents. Now, in my custom view that I have created, I just want to show the URL (re-named as Name) and "Modified by" fields. However, when I select the modified by field to be displayed, it shows both the date and the time on the webpage.

Now, I dont want the time to be displayed to the users. Is there a way to filter out the time there by letting the users see only the date it was modified in the Modified By column on the webpage?

PS: Am using SharePoing Services 2003
