Greetings!

I have been attempting to fix this problem since January this year and have just learned to deal with it. Now I'd like to actually fix it!

My Firefox web browser is the only web browser to successfully connect to the internet. The catch is that version 3.0.6 is the one I have to run - any time Firefox runs an update I can no longer connect to the internet and have to reinstall the older version. I have attempted to use Opera and Safari with no sucess as well.

Other programs that require internet will also say that the internet is not detected (like for Skype, Mozilla Firebird, Microsoft Outlook), however I can connect my Yahoo Instant Messenger.

I have ran my Symantic Antivirus Scan (which came up clean) as well as SpyBot Search and Destroy and AdAware to remove any malware.

If I enter SafeMode I am able to connect to the internet with IE (which I am doing now).

Any ideas on how to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
