Hello there! I have a folder on my desktop, in which is a .iso file. For some reason it was downloaded to my desktop a while ago, but now it will not be moved/renamed/deleted. No exceptions. Vista tells me "this action cannot be completed because the folder is open in another program."

Ive tried:
Dragging it to the recycle bin
Right click - delete
Defogging the computer to stop any and all emulation tools (I eventually uninstalled them all anyway)
File Assassin
Killbox
Unlocker
And all of these Ive done in safe mode, normal mode, backwards, forwards, and upside-down. All 5.55G of file still remains in the darn folder on my desktop.

Im so frustrated. Does anyone have any instructions or suggestions to remove this file? It doesnt seem to be doing any damage and my computer was reported as clean from viruses by another forum (which pointedly avoided any mention of this annoying file).

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Let me ask some other experts, what they think about it.
What is puzzling to me, is the fact, that the very same file in recycle bin and on your desktop has different MD5 numbers, like something is recreating it.
Possible infection, but as I said, I'll ask.

I assume, it's rather illegal download of a copyrighted material?

Next advice (credit goes to JSntgRvr):

Have the user open a command prompt with an administrative elevation and attempt these (Copy and paste) commands (quotation marks included):

rd /s /q C:\$RECYCLE.BIN
rd /s /q "C:\Users\Mal\Desktop\The Sims 3 - Razor1911 Final MAXSPEED"
Exit

open a command prompt with an administrative elevation

Go Start and in "Start search" type in:
cmd
Hold CTRL and SHIFT, press Enter.

Another expert turned my attention to an extra space, which somehow was inserted in my OTM code, so before you try that command prompt commands, please retry OTM with correct code. I'm juts curious, if that was the reason, OTM didn't work.
