I am trying to Clean up my wifes old laptop to sell it(HP 6820s vista home premium)I ran Dban and then installed Vista with the recovery disks I had created some time a go. When it rebooted I found that there is still personal data (sent emails)and programs that weren't part of the factory setup. I did choose the factory setting option and I have also tried from the recovery partition.
I looked at getting some disks from HP.uk but was directed to a "partners" (best2serve)site that couldn't supply for this model (about 3yrs old).
Anybody got any ideas?

:)
HP UK phone support
Try calling them about purchasing a original set of factory recovery disks. This should return the system to like new installed software.

I should have explained a little better. Since you made the recovery disks when you first got the system it sounds like you setup the email and had addresses already before making the disks. This would show up when you used them. Your best option is like i stated. Purchase a factory set of recovery disks to take everything back to the way it was when you first bought it.
This should resolve the issue for you and if not we will have to try a different method of correcting the issue. :)

That is great to hear and yes using DBAN should remove all traces of data.
The new disks should be sold with the system so new owner has a fresh install set for their use.
I'm glad to hear they assisted you so fast and at no cost to you.
Congratulations. :) for a successful resolution for your issue.
