Hi,
My girlfriend's computer was infection with a couple of viruses cos her subscription run out. She could not boot her system at all, so I ended up pulling out her HD and booting it as a primary slave with my system and backed up her docs, and formatted her HD. I gave her a new installation of XP Pro but now her computer wont boot at all. My suspicion is that a CIH virus might have altered her bios. I'll be greatful if anyone could help me solve this problem.

System specs:
Compaq presario 5000
AMD 800MHz Duron
384MB RAM PC 100
40GB HD

Ask for more info if needed.

Howdy:

You can't install XP on your system and then move the hard-drive to another system..

You will need to re-install HER XP version with the hdd in her own system so Windows picks up her mobo and sets the appropriate drivers for her hardware NOT yours!!
