I am at college and i use to have my laptop be my wireless router for my xbox. But now i cant get my computer to find my xbox and vice versa. I have a good Ethernet cord to use, but i also have no luck with my cord that came with the xbox. I would like to resume playing on xbox live, but i have no idea what is wrong.

Are you using the correct cable? You will need a crossover Ethernet cable not a straight through cable. The cable that is supplied with the xbox is straight through - designed for connecting your xbox to a router.
