at this point, im really out of ideas here. to recap what we have tried:

- complete reinstall of firefox using defaults settings and in safe mode
- disabled all 3rd party services
- safe mode with networking
- manual DNS entries using google public dns
- resetting of router
- only browser effected is firefox

the only other thing i can suggest is to use an earlier version of firefox and see if that works. besides that, im fresh out of ideas.

I'm actually starting to get used to the 'looking up' unfortunately haha ive just stopped paying
attention to it, Alot of the things we have done has sped up my system alot regardless! :)
I downloaded bleachbit and cleaned everything out including firefox too bad that didn't work.

@ dsenette, it's sometimes literally for just half a second or even less than that.

ok, first a disclaimer: when i first had internet in my house it was on a 28.8 modem (28kbps), untill recently (within the past 2 years) i was on 56kbps dialup, and now i'm on DSL Lite (768kbps).

in my opinion, any website on the internet that loads faster than 5 seconds, counts as a fast load

so, a half a second seems like a silly thing to worry about in my view. even a full second seems excessive to worry about. i would chalk up the delay (as compared to IE or Chrome) to firefox doing things differently (in my experience FF always loads slower for me)

I am using cox communications internet i forgot the exact speed but i know it's
upgraded once from the default internet speed. Hahahaha yeah most of them do load
faster than 5 seconds I'm fine with the speed just the little looking up ordeal
bothered me enough to post and discuss here. How about any of this information?
Everything look right?
