Hello everyone, I am Dakota, and new to this site, after searching an answer to my problem, that I haven't found.
My computer specifications are: Compaq - Presario CQ70, ran on Windows Vista.

My problem is:
I think there is something wrong with the harddrive. When I try to start it up, it says "No Bootable Device". THe place where I ordered the computer gave me 2 disks. When I run them, Windows System Recovery shows up, and the first disk works properly, allowing the status to go to 100%. Then it prompts me tp enter the second disk in, I do and it works as well. Then it starts another task, I think reformatting, and it does absolutely nothing. No prompts, just please wait. I left it overnight, and still nothing happens. What on earth is the problem, and how do I fix this!?

A few things could be the problem. You could have a faulty hard drive, or your connection could be loose. Is it an IDE hard drive or is it a SATA hard drive? Try reconnecting your cables to make sure they are firmly seated, then reply back...
