Skype 5.x freezing my PC

Hi,

I would like to see if someone can help me decipher this riddle that I stupidly caused!

I tweaked my Windows 7 64bits "Services" in order to stop them from starting up with Windows and now Skype and similar programs like VOIPBuster,when I try to log-in, freeze MY PC totally and I have to hard re-boot it, so I was wondering, what services do these programs use in common?
