I'm going to go out on a limb and guess this might be your fix:
If you reset Internet Explorer settings, it will disable your add-ons.
Try firing up Internet Explorer, then follow these steps:

Try firing up Internet Explorer, then follow these steps:
- Click the tools pull-down menu
- Click Manage Add-ons
- Scroll down and look for the Java plugins, and re-enable them (see the enable button below the list, after you've highlighted the plugin)
- Click ok when finished
- Restart Internet Explorer, and test
