I have had this computer almost a year now playing a game that requires java. A few days ago I had internet problems and had to reset my internet explorer settings. Now my java is all messed upped. My computer is saying that it is incompatible with the windows I am using. (windows 7) I uninstalled and reinstalled java, still having issues. I don't know if this is anything to put in but, I have internet explorer 32 bit and 64 bit on my pc. I looked on microsoft, but none of their solutions are helping! Doe anyone have a clue why my java suddenly became incompatible after a year?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess this might be your fix:

If you reset Internet Explorer settings, it will disable your add-ons.

Try firing up Internet Explorer, then follow these steps:
  • Click the tools pull-down menu
  • Click Manage Add-ons
  • Scroll down and look for the Java plugins, and re-enable them (see the enable button below the list, after you've highlighted the plugin)
  • Click ok when finished
  • Restart Internet Explorer, and test
