Hi,

I was configuring GRUB to dualboot (Arch Linux and FreeBSD) and then rebootoed to test the configuration and all went well. I used it for a while with general use (web browsing, docs, a little bit of recreational coding)

I had to put in a second hard drive for the dualboot so I re attached the side panel . When I turned it back on , Nothing ; I heard the drives and fans spin as usual, the monitors indicator stayed orange (indicating no activity)

I turned it off un-plugged everything opened it up and : reseated the RAM , rebooted , same thing.

Does anyone have any ideas?

have you set the drive's correctly as first boot/master and slave ?

you need to do this in your bios if this is not done and depending on the make of your motherboard will depend on which key to press at first boot,
usually its one of these

F1
F2
F10
DEL
ESC

as soon as you power on your pc, start tapping the first option,
if you do not get into your bios then try another at power on,

once in your bios you will need to set your boot drive as first hdd, save and exit,
you should now be able to boot

I tried thhat already it wont even let me get to BIOS

ok, my pc has fits if i don't connect the panels correctly, i have 'case open' sensors,
do you have any of these ?

have you dislodged your vid card ?

have you tried removing the panel and trying to boot ?

you may have tried these but i don't know if you have or havn't

I fixied it my CMOS battery broke ( it was litterally coming apart)I replaced it now all is well
