Msn messenger needed to update to the new version but my computer is apparently missing essential components for it. It says it can be downloaded from windows update but update says its downloaded all the updates and isnt finding any more. How can I manually get this update?

have you tried using Windows Update manually via the update website using Internet Explorer?

You may have chosen to 'hide' some updates previously, which means they won't be visible and they won't get offered to you. This can be fixed by going to Control Panel (classic view) >> Windows Update and click "Restore hidden updates".
