Hi All

Trying to find out if this Dell Insprion laptop will support WPA. Has a Dell Trumobile 1150 series wireless Lan mini pci card. Running XP Pro. When I try to connect, it will only give me WEP option and I am wanting to use WPA. It will see the SSID but since it has WPA I can not connect. Has the latest drivers from Dell installed. I have tried looking a Dell's site.

Thanks, Doug

According to my research the Dell Trumobile 1150 series does not support WPA encryption, only WEP encryption.

This means you need to change the wireless encryption type of your router from WPA to WEP if it has that option.
To do that you need to go into your router's configuration manager using a web-browser.

The URL is usually http://192.168.0.1

Hi

Thanks for the reply. That was all I could find too. To bad Dell does not make and update. Still a lot of these old computers around.

Thanks again, Doug
