Hello everyone. My computer has windows xp operating system. I noticed that I was getting popups of a fake malware program wanting me to buy. I ran Spybot S&D which found the trojan virus.

After running Spybot S&D, I clicked the fix problems button and the computer froze up. I then reset the computer and when booting up, it now hangs at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...."

I ran the AVG Rescue cd from here and renamed the trojan it found but the computer is still hanging at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...."
