I just recently bought my Dell XPS L502X and lately it has been acting up. It freezes randomly and programs will just randomly crash. I'll be working with just two windows and it'll just hang and be unresponsive for sometimes up to several minutes.

Spec:

Windows 7 64bit
i7 2720qm @2.20ghz
8gb Ram
nvidia gt540m

As you can see, the specs of my computer are quite good... So these conditions are quite confusing.
I have mcaffee updated and scanned so I don't think its a malware issue. I have also cleared my temporaries and I doubt its a defrag issue since the harddrive is not even 50% full.

However, I did notice these issues after I accidentally dropped it off my bed. I don't know if that could hae anything to do with it as the drop was only about a foot and on to soft carpet.

Please help!

Is it still under warranty?
Even a drop that short can cause connections inside the laptop to become dislodged or broken.
