Hello. I have a problem with the CPU usage on my computer. No matter what I do, the CPU still spikes over 100% and Internet Explorer has a process of over 100,000. I tried to get help from Essexboy, but were unable to come up with a solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/ and see what process is causing the spike. This utility goes deeper than Task Manager.

I'm not really sure what's causing the spike.

We sure can't tell from where we're sitting.

If you're after a list of everything that might cause a spike, it would be so large as to be quite useless.
