Hi, i have around 2 weeks since i reformated my computer, it has run fine, however, just recently it has been quite slow when i execute programs, it takes around 30 seconds, sometimes to 2-3 minutes just so it can open. Thereon, when i run my 3d software 3dsmax6, it gives me an error when done loading, and when trying to use a tool which says "Syntax error: at activeXControl, exected <rollout control>
In line: activexControl vStatusBar "MSComctlLib.SbarCtrl"pos:[1,360] width:325 height:20
"

exactly like that, followed by an "OK" button. It prompts about 7-10 times before stopign, then when i select a tool, it does so again. I assume this has something to do with the slow state of loading of my computer, because it runs just fine (except for the loading of programs of course).

I would please like to hear some suggestions and/or steps to fixing this, or perhaps an explanation of what caused this and how it can be avoided so i can reformat and install everything again.

Thanks alot for reading. I have an eMachines Laptop, 2004, 50 gig, AMD proccessor, ATI 9600, windows XP.

thanks again.
