So, about to reload it, but decided to post here for curiosity's sake.

I have a laptop in, Dell E6500, running Vista Enterprise 32bit, and it will not load anything. I have run the built in Dell diagnostics, tried Safe Mode, tried the recovery cd, tried a UBCD, and every time, I end up staring at a load screen that just won't quit. Tried each stick of memory alone, although I figured it wouldn't work, and I was right. The UBCD not loading is very surprising, watching the XP load screen is kinda nostalgic, though.

Any ideas how this is happening?

Sorry to hear of the problem with your Dell computer,
Have you checked in the BIOS that the boot priority is set to CD/DVD as priority 1 and hard drive 0 is priority 2...? and then saved the changes before exiting the BIOS?
Regards
