My daughter has just acquired a Samsung YH-920 MP3 player it will not work with Mediaplayer10 and says we must install MP9 which is fine by me because I do not like MP10.
The problem is I cannot get MP10 off my system the operating system is XP proffessional.
I have gone to add/remove in control panel then to the windows bit,it removes it from the menu but not the system. So when I try to install MP9 it says I already have a better player installed.

If any one can offer help to an old chap strugling with technology he does not understand it would make a teenage girl very happy

You can go to Add or Remove Programs in your Control Panel.
Next, check the box that says "show updates".
Scroll down until you see "Windows Media Player 10"
Lastly, click the "Change/Remove" button

It should uninstall the update.
