I've been trying to remove this since I first noticed the flashing windows (unsuccessfully). I am posting from a friends computer to avoid turning mine on again, as I noticed a new flashing window that really has me worried (deleting files). I have already tried Kaspersky and Mcaffee scanning (undetected). PC is starting up and running extremely slow, has flashing windows and now appears to be having files deleted by this virus.

Since you have a friend's computer I would use it to burn a bootable AVG Rescue disk

http://www.geekstogo...ost__p__1913777

I would test it on the friend's computer to make sure it works and you know how to change the boot order to make it boot from the CD before trying it on the sick PC. With the CD you can scan the PC without booting windows so that the virus can't start.

Once you've scanned the sick computer I would boot into Safe Mode with Networking (Reboot and when you see the maker's logo, hear a beep or it mentions F8, start tapping the F8 key slowly. Keep tapping until it reaches the Safe Mode menu and choose Safe Mode with Networking. See if you can download and run OTL:
Download OTL from
http://www.geekstogo...timers-list-it/
and Save it to your desktop.

Run OTL (Vista or Win 7 => right click and Run As Administrator)

select the All option in the Extra Registry group then Run Scan.

You should get two logs. Please copy and paste both of them.

Also Download aswMBR.exe ( 511KB ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
Click the "Scan" button to start scan
On completion of the scan (Note if the Fix button is enabled and tell me) click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your response. The only thing is my friend's computer is a MAC. So, I probably need to find another PC to download the above to first right? (Sorry, not very tech savvy). Thanks again.

I suspect (but don't know) that the MAC might be able to burn the CD but probably wouldn't boot from it so best to find a friend with a PC.
