Can I successfully share a seagate external hard drive between a mac and a pc,that is without having to constantly remove the info? This is very important today is the last day I have to get a laptop and this will influence greatly whether or not I get a mac. So plz respond asap!

Yes. You should probably have a separate partition for each system, but it could be done.
