One of my clients is an office with about 25 PC's running Windows XP/2000 and Office 2000. They have a folder on the server containing umpteen different Word templates which they all use. Most PC's have an HP LaserJet attached to their PC. However, there are a multitude of different models of these printers.

When a Word template is created which specifies that the first page is supposed to be pulled from the lower paper tray (letterhead) and all other pages are supposed to pull from the upper (regular paper), there is confusion. HP's printer drivers refer to their paper trays with different terminology (one model might have upper and lower, another might have 1, 2, 3, etc.). This causes Word to get confused. The end result is that a template created on one PC with one type of printer attached will pull paper improperly on another PC with a different printer attached.

So far, the workaround has been to use the LaserJet 4 Plus printer driver regardless of the actual printer being used. The problem is that the latest models of HP LaserJets refuse to print from the envelope feeder when using the LaserJet 4 Plus driver.

So, I need some advice on this problem....HELP!!
