I have a Toshiba Satellite L355-S7902 Windows Vista laptop and I cannot boot up. It gets stuck at a black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. I've tried draining the juice out of the computer by letting it sit for a week without use..nothing. I've tried hitting F2, F8, F12, ctrl alt del..nothing! I have nothing plugged into it and am extremely frustrated. Does anybody know a fix for this or is my laptop fried?? Thanks for your help!

This may help.

use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

There could be many other reason's, like a update messing with the UAC(user account control), and others so let's start with the above fixes.
