I have a Toshiba Sattelite Laptop that just stopped working a while back and today tried fixing it. I did a system restore to make it like It was new out of the box by holding 0 while turning the power on and then going through the whole process and it went to a blank screen after it said it was going to restart itself. I waited a while and it didn't do anything at all so I turned it off and waited a while and tried it again. It did a system restore again and the same thing is happening. It isn't responding to anything at all. Can anyone please help??? Thanks, Lisa

The next step is to try a regular Microsoft windows DVD to see if you can install windows from it. You can always reload drivers from the toshiba website if the microsoft install works. your recovery disks may be scratched or not working properly. i test my recovery disks as soon as i make them simply because i have had some not work from the gitgo. I then usually order recovery disks from the manufacturer when that happens. I test them as soon as i get them also.
