Hi hi. Need some help with IE as it keeps having to close on me when I try to browse away
from the home page.

O/S: Windows XP SP2

Internet Explorer
Error Signature---------------------------------------------------------------------
AppName: iexpore.exe AppVer:6.0.2900.21800 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2180 Offset: 0022df06

If the contents of the error report need to be posted for someone to help me, please let me
know. It's long, so I've started copying it, but will have to continue tomorrow if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any and all help. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Miss_Guided,

Thank you for notifying us that you have resolved your problem on your own. Not many will go to those lengths as we volunteers spend our free time researching to provide you with a solution.

I'd like to point out something you mentioned in your first post:

O/S: Windows XP SP2

If this is not a mistype you really need to update to SP3 by clicking on Windows Updates or following the instructions in the link below. You'll find a link for the update if you scroll to the bottom of the page. Look for and click on --> Posted Image

Install Windows XP SP3

You may read about Support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 ends on July 13, 2010 >>>here<<<

If you need any help or have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I do apologize that you had to wait for a reply.

Donna :)

Hi Miss_Guided,

You really should go to Windows Update via your Control Panel and click to get that update or any other updates that may not be installed. It is very important.

Here's another link directly to the update if needed.

Learn how to install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3)

Please note: There is no SP3 for the 64-bit version of Windows XP. If you're running the 64-bit version of Windows XP with SP2, you have the latest service pack and will continue to be eligible for support and receive updates until April 8, 2014.

Let me know if you need further help.
